Little to No Exposure to Water - No Problem

If you are exposing your child to water for the first time at eighteen+ months of age, don't worry

As long as you proceed at your child's pace and include plenty of opportunities to explore their boundaries and limitations within your practice sessions, your child will be happy to participate in your game plan.

And keep in mind, stranger anxiety generally peaks between 12 and 15 months of age, and may continue in some children up to their second birthday. So when practicing skills that require another adult, make sure that your child is familiar with that person.

Your Instructor

Tessa Rhodes

I started my career working with children in 2005. Before I became a certified American Red Cross WSI (water safety instructor), I was a drama and gymnastics coach. Of the three, swimming is by far and away, my most favorite to teach, and it happens to be the most rewarding. As I see the progress my students make, I can't help but just love what I do.

Whether you're a parent or a swim instructor or in search of training to become one, you're in the right place. I am excited to share my knowledge with you.
